Before changing our meeting format, the Nashville GLBT Chamber Programs offered monthly presentations that provided members educational and informative perspectives on Business Building, Professional Development and Community Awareness, along with opportunities for Social Networking. The programs do not focus on specific individuals or businesses, but rather on the broader context of how these topic areas affect the overall Chamber Membership.
When there is a need, the Chamber considers hosting a Quarterly Education Forum to address a timely local need. The Chamber Program Committee is always looking for great ideas for its programs. If you would like to suggest a program, please submit an email to one of the Program Committee members.
Below are just a few of previous programs that have been presented at monthly chamber meetings:
February 2010 (rescheduled from January): Mixer @ Nashville Ballet
Nearly 75 people attended the first new-format mixer of 2010 at the Nashville Ballet. Delicious food was provided by Nuvo Burrito and drinks from Woodland Wine Merchant. Attendees enjoyed a sneak-peek at a rehearsal of the Nashville Ballet.
February 2009 Several leaders in Nashville's GLBT community gave informative presentations including TEP President Christopher Sanders; Nashvile Pride President Pam Wheeler; Jeremy Davis, co-chair of the HumanRights Campaign Equality Dinner; Chamber board members Michael Fluck and Jerry Jones, co-chairs of Unpredictable Fashion Show; and David Glasgow, candidate for District 18 Metro Council.

September 2007 Lynn Taylor, owner of Taylor Made Plans, presented at the Sept. Nashville GLBT Chamber of Commerce meeting, talking about "how to create a buzz around your business."
July 2007 The first-ever Nashville GLBT Chamber Mayoral Candidate Forum was hosted by the Nashville GLBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLBTCC) at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel, Symphony Ballroom Wednesday, July 18.
March 2007 At the March meeting of Nashville's GLBT Chamber of Commerce, Gary Hawkins and Sheila Dial presented a program on the future of Nashville's downtown riverfront.
November 2006 The November GLBT Chamber of Commerce meeting was held at Mirror restaurant on November 28. A large number of members turned out for the social networking event.
Sept. 2006 T. K. Davis, design director, Nashville Civic Design Center spoke at the September Nashville GLBT Chamber of Commerce meeting. Davis spoke to the members about the location and design of the proposed convention center, hotel and parking for downtown Nashville.
July 2006 Randy Tarkington who was manager of the Vote No on 1 campaign, spoke about the current efforts on the ballot initative.
June 2006 More than 75 people attended the 2006 NAPP GLBT Chamber of Commerce Pride Mixer, which was held at Tribe/Red Restaurant and hosted by Deloitte GLOBE and NAPP. Volunteers who helped with Unpredictable, a fashion show benefiting NAPP, were honored with medals and trophies from NAPP president Christopher Sanders. Michael Fluck, co-chair of Unpredictable, and Bud East, producer of the event, presented NAPP with a check for $14,925.
December 2005 A thank you reception for Nashville's GLBT Chamber of Commerce 2005 GLBT Life and Business Expo sponsors was held at the home of Alan Maloney and Kyle Pendleton. Chamber president Christopher Sanders thanked the sponsors for a successful first-year event, which drew several hundred participants. Plans are underway for this year's event.
November 2005 The Nashville GLBT Chamber of Commerce sponsor reception, held at the home of Tim King, was held the evening of Friday November 18 before the first-ever GLBT Life and Business Expo.
April 2005 Members of NAPP: Nashville's GLBT Chamber of Commerce, enjoyed a business mixer at Mirror Restaurant on 12th avenue, where a large crowd came to network.
